40 "CLASSIC" MOVIES TO SHOW YOUR KIDS

1)Singin' in the Rain

Do you have kids? One rainy day, I was humming, and realized she'd never seen "Singin' in the Rain." Not her fault, it was before her time. Well, it was in the library, we took it home for movie night, and she LOVED it. I've since been making a list of "classic" movies, old & new, that she should see, and thought I'd share, in the order I'm showing them to her. I've got 40 on the list, so I'll add 1 a day, be done before Thanksgiving, but would appreciate any additions you might have. Remember, no "R" and only mild PG-13's!

2)Big                                                                        Having "movie night" is a great incentive to get homework done, and a great way to get them a little modern culture and enjoyment. 2 down 38 to go....

3)1776                                                                    "Movie night" doesn't always have to be funny. While studying US history, before the big Phila class trip, my daughter fell in love with this musical! 3 down 37 to go....

4)Who Framed Roger Rabbit                            Seems like a good idea to mix it up a bit, alternate cartoon with real, funny with (semi)serious. Feel free to give me suggestions to add to the list, I'll give you credit! 4 down 36 to go....

5)Our Man Godfrey                                                Even though it's black & white, this feel good, romantic comedy has happiness, & a social message still relevent today. Feel free to post suggestions, or forward for more! 5 down 35 to go....

6)Back To The Future                                            I'd forgotten how much swearing this has (for younger folks), but it's fun, exciting and a modern classic. Thanks for all the "Likes" to get more suggestions for us all! 6 down 34 to go....

7)Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory             More fun & lighthearted than the remake, great songs, no nightmares. Anyone know any other originals more fun than the remakes to add? 7 down 33 to go....

8)Airplane                                                                 Wackiness at it's best! How could you not expose your kid(s) to this kind of humor?!? Not just entertainment, it's film/cultural education too! 8 down 32 to go....
